Ciao bella Italia, Auf Wiedersehen sonnige Schweiz

Swiss/Italian border, Umbrial Pass

There was much nostalga riding from Switzerland to Italy

The Fluelapass was the first Alpine pass I rode back in 2016

At the time I couldn’t imagine how I could come back again

And now Im on the 4th tour.

Truly addicted to the Alps

The Fluelapass links to the Ofen Pass and that to the Umbrial Pass which crosseS into Italy and leads to the beautiful city of Bormio.

The top of the Stelvio is a Circus of bicycles, motorbikes, cars, sausage Stalls hotels and shops .

From Bormio the valley opens up

With lovely camping grounds, with walkers, cyclists and bikers in summer. Skiers in winter.

Perfect for camping in the pretty village of Cepina.

St Leon sur Vezere and glimpses of the Dordogne

There is something special about the little camp ground beside the Vezere river at St Leon

Its simple without trappings but just beautiful.

And a perfect spot to explore the valley.

From where the Verzere meets the Dordogne at Limeuil

To the beautiful town on Montignac

The Vezere valley offers

Wonderful sights to see. Magnificent Chalets and wonderful roads to ride

Best Wishes for the Festive Season

Wishing all Bloggers, friends and followers all the best for the festive season.

A time for peace and for love

A time for looking forward with positive anticipation

A time for reflection and forgiveness

A time for appreciation

A time for tolerance and acceptance

No matter your faith, your values, your creed

Take the time to count your blessings, and appreciate that there is beauty in the world around us.

Remoteness

Wild Horses Kosciuszko National Park

Remote from the noise and the bustle

In the bush with the wild horses

In the wilderness

On a mountain top camp

On the coast

The golden sandy beach

Stretching to the horizon

Hungry Head Central Coast NSW

Finding special places

Where human activity and nature blend

Yarrangobilly Thermal Pool

Winding along the roads less travelled

Finding the wild things

From Alsace to Finisterre – East to West across France

From Riquewihr it’s into the mountains again

Heading west

Over the Col de la Schlucht

It was to be an eventful trip

Partly by truck

But all life is a learning

I take the by roads rather than the motorways

It has its risks but many rewards

Such as the entrance to the old city in Parthaney

The picturesque Vouvant

Or the amazing boulders at le Rocher Blanant

And onto the little coastal harbours of Brittany
